What the calculator shows
The atmakaraka with its degree, the karakamsa, the 12th sign from it in D9 and who occupies or rules it, the rule that fired, the deity (with the alternative forms lineages use), and a mantra commonly associated with it. Nothing is hidden behind a report.
Why the 12th from karakamsa
In Jaimini's scheme the karakamsa is the soul's seat in the navamsa, and the 12th house from any seat is the house of release — moksha, dissolution, what the soul turns toward when it lets go. The planet there describes the form of the divine that release takes for you. It is an elegant piece of reasoning and, like the rest of astrology, a tradition rather than a proof.
On variants and on devotion
Planet-to-deity tables differ by lineage: the Sun as Rama, Shiva or Surya; Saturn as Kurma, Hanuman, Shani or Narayana; Jupiter as Vamana, Dattatreya or Brihaspati. Some read the 12th from the navamsa lagna rather than the karakamsa; some consult the D20. We follow the most-cited Jaimini rule and show the alternatives.
