Privacy Policy

Last updated 23 August 2026

This policy explains what kundaligpt.ai (Kundali GPT, “we”, “us”) does with information relating to you when you use this website. We have tried to keep it short and specific rather than long and defensive.

The short version

  • The kundli and every calculator are computed inside your own browser. Drawing a chart sends nothing to us.
  • The AI chat is the exception: your birth details and your question go to our server, which recomputes the chart and passes it, with your question, to a language-model provider for an answer. We do not store the conversation, the chart or the birth details afterwards.
  • Signing in is optional and only raises the daily question limit. If you do, we store your email, your name and a session. We never ask for a phone number.
  • We do not sell or share personal information, and there are no ads.

Birth details and your chart

The details you type into the kundli form or any calculator (names, dates, times and places) are processed entirely inside your browser. Computing a chart or a calculator result sends nothing over the network. They are held in memory for as long as the page is open and discarded when you close or reload it. We could not disclose them if we were asked to, because we never receive them.

The AI chat is the exception

If you use the AI astrologer, your birth details (date, time, place, and your name if you entered one) and your question are sent to our server. The server recomputes the chart with the same code your browser used and passes the resulting placements and your question to a third-party language-model provider, reached through an API gateway, so an answer can be generated. The provider receives what is needed to answer and nothing else; we do not store the conversation, the chart or the birth details after the reply is returned, and we do not build a profile from them.

We count requests to enforce the daily free-question limit, keyed on your account if you are signed in and otherwise on your IP address. That counter holds an identifier and a number, nothing else, and it expires automatically 24 hours after your first question of the day.

If you sign in

Signing in is entirely optional. It exists only to raise the number of AI questions you can ask in a day, and nothing on the site is withheld from visitors who do not. You can sign in with an email address and password, or with Google.

  • Email and password: we store your email address, the name you give, a salted hash of your password (never the password itself) and a session record so you stay signed in.
  • Google: we receive and store your email address, your name and profile image as Google provides them, and a session record. We do not receive your Google password.

We use that address to recognise you across devices and to apply your daily allowance. We do not send marketing email; if that ever changes we will ask first. Your charts and conversations are never attached to your account. You can ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it at any time via the contact page.

Information we do collect

  • Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider records requests: IP address, the page requested, the time, the browser user-agent and the referring page. These are used to keep the site running and to detect abuse, and are retained for a limited period before deletion.
  • Analytics. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to count page views and understand which pages are useful. Where we do, it is configured not to track individuals across sites and not to build advertising profiles.
  • Email. If you write to us, we keep your message and address for as long as needed to deal with it.
  • Account data. Only if you choose to sign in; see above.

Cookies

The only cookie we set ourselves is the session cookie that keeps you signed in, and only if you sign in. We do not use cookies for advertising or to track you across other sites. If we later add anything that sets a non-essential cookie, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with the service providers who host and operate the site (including the hosting, database and rate-limit store) and with the language-model provider that generates chat responses, in each case only to the extent they need it to do that. We will disclose information if required to by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to certain processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. Since we hold very little, most requests are quick to answer. Write to our contact page to make one.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
