Birth Time Rectification — Narrow It Down from Your Life

Give the window your birth time could fall in and a few dated events. We scan the window every four minutes, show how the lagna, navamsa and D10 change across it, and score every candidate lagna by whether the dasha lords at your events fit the right houses.

Birth Time Rectification

Give the window your birth time could fall in and a few dated life events. We show how the lagna and navamsa change across the window and score each candidate lagna against the events by the dasha running at each one.

Same calendar day. A 2–4 hour window works best.

Pick from the list — the ascendant needs exact coordinates.

Dated life events (up to 6)

Month-level accuracy is fine. Events you are sure of are worth more than many vague ones.

In short

Birth time rectification (janam samay shuddhi) is the process of correcting an unknown or approximate birth time by testing candidate times within a window and checking which lagna, divisional charts and Vimshottari dasha periods best match dated life events such as marriage, children, career changes and illness, then adopting the best-fitting time. It narrows; it does not prove.

What the calculator shows

The lagna windows inside your range (from which minute to which minute each sign was rising) with the navamsa lagnas each contains; a score for each window from your events; a table of the best candidate times with lagna, D9 lagna, D10 lagna and Moon nakshatra; and whether your Moon nakshatra is certain across the whole range (usually it is).

How the scoring works

For each event you enter, the calculator finds the mahadasha and antardasha running at that date (the dasha depends on the Moon, which barely changes across the window) and asks, for each candidate lagna: do those two lords rule or occupy the houses this event belongs to? A marriage in a Venus–Jupiter period scores for the lagnas that make Venus or Jupiter the 7th, 2nd or 11th lord; a new job in a Saturn period scores where Saturn rules the 10th, 6th, 2nd or 11th. Natural significators (Venus for marriage, Jupiter for children) also count. The lagna that makes the most events “fit” rises to the top.

What it does not do

It does not weigh the navamsa, transits at the event, the strength of the lords, or your appearance, which are the things a human rectifier adds. Use it to choose between lagnas; then take the best window to the AI astrologer or a practitioner with more of your history. For the sensitivity of a single lagna, the lagna calculator shows the rising window and your margin inside it.

How this calculator works

Scan
Every 4 minutes across the window (same day): full kundli, lagna, D9 and D10 lagna, Moon nakshatra/pada.
Events
Vimshottari maha + antar lords at each event date; +1 per lord that rules/occupies one of the event's houses or is its karaka; max 2 per event.
Windows
Consecutive candidates with the same lagna grouped; best score per window; D9 lagnas listed.
Limits
Single calendar day; no navamsa/transit weighting; heuristic, labelled as such.
