The widely applied rules: both Moons in the same nakshatra but different padas; both in the same rashi but different nakshatras; both nakshatras ruled by the same planet. Some authorities add: the two rashi lords being friends, a strong Jupiter aspecting the 7th house, or both nakshatras being among the 'exempted' ones (Rohini, Ardra, Pushya, Magha, Vishakha, Shravana, Uttara Bhadrapada, Revati). The calculator applies the first three and notes the rest.

Folk opinion says Madhya–Madhya is the hardest and Aadi or Antya milder, but the texts give all three the same weight — 0 points. Treat the nadi name as description, not degree.

The belief is old and widely held, and the medical claim behind it (similar constitutions producing weak children) has no scientific support. What is real is the weight the koota carries in the score and in family decisions. If the dosha is cancelled by a classical rule, most astrologers will not hold it against the match; if not, they read the rest of the chart before advising.

Can Nadi dosha be cancelled if the rashis are different?

Different rashis alone do not cancel it; the classical cancellations need the same rashi (with different nakshatras) or the same nakshatra (with different padas) or the same nakshatra lord. A friendly relationship between the two rashi lords is accepted by some astrologers and not by others.

That is the traditional claim — nadi is read as constitution, and two of the same is held to be unfavourable for progeny. It is a belief, not a finding. If it matters to you, read it with the 5th houses of both charts and a human astrologer.

Nadi, Bhakoot, Manglik — which is worse?

They are different things. Nadi and Bhakoot are matching kootas (8 and 7 points); Mangal dosha is a placement in one chart. Astrologers treat uncancelled Nadi dosha as the heaviest single matching flag because of its points, and Manglik as a separate check to balance between the two charts.

Are there remedies for Nadi dosha?

Tradition offers Nadi dosha nivaran puja, Maha Mrityunjaya japa, donating grains or gold, and in some regions a symbolic Kumbh Vivah or Vishnu-pratima vivah for the bride. We do not sell any of them. If the dosha is cancelled by a rule, no remedy is needed.

Usually. Nadi follows the Moon's nakshatra, which changes about once a day, so on most dates the date alone fixes it. The calculator tells you if the Moon changed nakshatra on a birth date and you did not give a time.
