In short

Your lucky number by date of birth comes from your Mulank (day of birth reduced to one digit) and Bhagyank (every digit of the date added and reduced). Your mulank is the first lucky number; the numbers friendly to both are the rest. Each number's planet fixes your lucky colour and day: 1 Sun (orange, Sunday), 2 Moon (white, Monday), 9 Mars (red, Tuesday).

What the calculator shows

Your mulank and bhagyank with their planets; the set of lucky numbers (and the ones to avoid), with the reason; lucky days of the week, lucky colours, and the dates of the month that reduce to your numbers; your personal year; and a line telling you what today's date reduces to and whether it is a lucky number for you. The friendship table for all nine numbers sits underneath so you can see where it all comes from.

Where the numbers come from

Chaldean numerology gives each number a planet, and planets have friends and enemies: the Sun (1) and Jupiter (3) get on; Saturn (8) and the Sun do not. Your lucky numbers are the ones whose planets are friends with your own; the unlucky ones, the planets that are not. Colours and days follow the planet the same way: Mars is red and rules Tuesday, so 9 is red and Tuesday. That is the whole mechanism; the numerology calculator shows the full readings of each number.

A word on luck

These are conventions, not predictions. Numerologists disagree on the edges (whether 5 is friendly to everyone, whether 8 is unlucky or just slow), and there is no evidence that numbers change outcomes. Use them the way they have always been used: for choosing between things you would otherwise pick at random, and for a small sense of personal meaning. For anything with stakes, the tradition itself points to the birth chart.

How the numbers are computed

Mulank · bhagyank
Day reduced; full date reduced (no master numbers).
Lucky numbers

Avoid
Numbers listed as enemies of either your mulank or bhagyank.
Days · colours · dates
From the planet of the mulank (primary) and bhagyank (secondary); dates of the month that reduce to your mulank.
Today
