How to read a year chart

Start with the varsha lagna and its lord for the tone of the year. Look at where the Muntha falls — that house is where the year's attention goes — and at the Muntha lord's condition. Then the year lord: a well-placed varshesh makes an easy year of its kind; a poorly placed one, a year of effort in its domain. Finally read all of it against the dasha — the year chart refines the season; it does not replace it.

What is simplified here
